Hell week at school has finally drawn to a close, and I can now start being a lazyass and enjoy my holidays. Work on Convergence Magazine had me sleeping at the school twice this week, but I did get a nice break from things at our drunken j-school party. Everything wrapping up nicely though, and by the end of this week I should have a new post up about a few mag releases featuring my work. In the meantime, keep an eye out for the new issues of Tribute, Teen Tribute and Kids Tribute at all AMCs and Cineplex Odeons across Canada. My name is plastered all over them. I’ve also begun work on The Elite, which is pretty much my own personal gaming hall of fame. Talk soon.

Hopped-up on Grape Soda

You have just gotta love Internet celebs. I’m not talking about the Paris Hiltons or the Lindsay Lohans, but the everyday schmucks who somehow burrow their way into pop culture, whether it be intentional or by complete accident. Sometimes it has ruined lives [Star Wars Kid] while other times it has become a business oppurtunity [Numa Numa Guy].
This latest bit of awesomeness comes to us from last weekends Wii launch. While scouring the lineups for fans of the Big N, GameTrailers.com came across one of the most entertaining people to hit the net in a long while.
Self admittedly hopped-up on grape soda and excitement over the Wii, this dude neglected to sleep for the past five days not because he was in line for Nintendo’s console, but just because the anticipation of getting it kept him from getting a single wink.
Hilariously enough, the bearded wonder isn’t even looking forward to any games on the Wii. He just wants the system. Red Steel looks tight to him and he might test out Wii Sports, but if he can get a copy of Zelda he’ll be happy. Otherwise it’s no big deal. He’ll just spend the time making an extremely accurate shaggy Mii of himself. Cause you know, gamers play all night.
