As if the idea of a HotorNot.com style channel dedicated to Miis wasn’t lame enough, it’s even more laughable for the fact that I’m totally addicted to it. Fuck.
It started off with a healthy dose of shame as my first couple of forays into the channel made me realize how horrible my little Wii avatars were in comparison to just about everyone else’s on the internets. After a while though, the loss of pride wore off and was replaced with the sense of joy that I now had access to hundreds of celebrimiis. WiiSports is miraculously fun to play again [by myself even!] simply because I can now have tennis matches where Han Solo teams up with McLovin to dish out some pain, backhand style.
The channel provides many ways in which you can search for specific Miis [though it still does leave a bit to be desired], but my I still find myself scrolling the Mii Artisan rankings to find out what the best have been creating. Although he isn’t the top ranked artisan, Ajay’s selection has to be far and away the best Miis on the channel. His Mii look so much like their real-life counterparts that you’ll often be able to identify them even without seeing their initials. It’s crazy what some people can do with so little. For those without a Wii or access to WiiConnect24, all of his Miis are viewable on MiiCharacters.com.
