Goodbye Mad World, Hello Last Day

Gears 2 officialy has it’s own Mad World, a tragically beatiful trailer which sets the tone of the game while connecting you emotionally with the men of Delta Squad. Is it better than Mad World? Almost, but not quite. That’s not a knock against Last Day though, as the original Gears of War trailer is easily the greatest video game commercial of all time in my opinion. All I know is that a few days after watching this preview I was in line at EB Games pre-ordering myself a Limited Edition copy of Gears 2. Midnite launch here I come!

Game Profile: iPod touchHoliday 2008ngmoco:)Official Site

Although Rolando may look familiar to anyone who fell in love with a certain yellow blob named Locco Rocco, this spunky platformer is actually an original title from developer Hand Circus. After the Rolando’s kingdom is invaded by a great darkness, it’s up to you to guide them 4 worlds and 36 levels where you’ll have to tap, tilt and touch [the holy trinity of touch t's] you’re way to freedom. I’m looking to forward to rolling around with the Rolandos this holiday season when the game is released.

The creative art style is courtesy of illustrator Miko Walamies, who has done some really great playful and imaginative work. At a time whe the AppStore is overflowing with crap the team over at ngmoco:) is really kicking ass with the fun titles like this and the previously released Topple and Mazefinger.

Aside from tooling around with that every now and then, I’ve also been putting a decent amount of time into the game itself. I actually managed to lose my voice belting out “Living on a Prayer!” Read more »
