Anybody order a side of iPhone wallpapers?

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , on March 4, 2009 by MarkEightThree

dexterDesigned a few more iPhone/iPod touch wallpapers for myself and decided I might as well share them as well. Only a few this time since I used whatever images I found for the NXE themes and formatted them for the iPhone. As always, if anybody out there is reading this and has a request [yeah right!] let me know in the comments, or just let me know if you like the selection so far. Read more »

Pocket Gamer spills some details on Dexter

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , on March 3, 2009 by MarkEightThree

Marc Ecko’s Dexter iPhone game was announced a while back last year, but aside from a few screen shots fans of the Dark Defender have been left salivating for any droplets of info. Although they were accompanied with some bad news [the game has been pushed back until the summer!], these screenshots should give iPhone gamers some hope this won’t be another AppStore shovelware title. Head over to Pocket Gamer for more slightly unsettling screens of Dexter.

Electronic Music Sale on the iTunes Store

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , on March 3, 2009 by MarkEightThree

itubesiTunes is having a sale on some of their most popular electronic albums, including everything from indie darlings Crystal Castles to mainstream charmers like Lady GaGa. There’s some really great deals to be found with most prices ranging around the $7.99 mark. Here’s my list of recommends:

  • M.I.A. Kala
  • Cut Copy In Ghost Colors
  • Santogold Santogold
  • Chromeo Fancier Footwork [Remixes]
  • Crystal Castles Crystal Castles [Bonus Track Version]
  • MSTRKRFT The Looks
  • Tiga Sexor
  • Daft Punk Alive 2007
  • Sam Sparro Sam Sparro

If Apple keeps this up I might have a reason to actually buy a full CD from them. I always thought the idea of paying $9.99 – $11.99 for an album on iTunes was crazy, especially when you can buy a hard copy at retail for the same price. This is definitely a step in the right direction though.

IUGO Mobile Entertainment has dropped the price of all three Toy Bot Diaries titles to 99 cents each to promote a $10,000 contest they’re running. All three games are normally $3.99 and are highly rated so this is a great deal that platform fans should check out.

In other big news Tap Tap Revenge 2 was released tonight for the awesome price of FREE. The new rhythm-action game uses the impressive graphics engine that debuted with Tap Tap Dance and has online multiplayer. There’s also a huge amount of DLC tracks available to download right away. Here’s some more info from Tapulous themselves: Read more »

More NXE themes for the budget Xbox gamer

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , , , on March 2, 2009 by MarkEightThree

nxe-dashboardHere’s a whole new batch of non-premium themes for your Xbox 360 dashboard courtesy of moi. This time there’s a lot more Ultimate Fighting Championship and a whole lot less of Batman. The comic-nerd quota still gets filled with the inclusion of Heroes and 300 though. There’s also a theme featuring Alice Glass of Toronto indie-electro group Crystal Castles, who you should definitely give a listen to if you haven’t already. Read more »

batman-hush1

I’ve been using a few of these as wallpapers on my iPod touch for a while now, so I figured I’d share with the rest of the class and throw them up here. Mostly Batman and Nine Inch Nails themed for the first collection, but much like the NXE batch I posted I’ll try to have a few more up soon with a little more variety. Suggestions are always welcome in the comments box. Read more »

F-cking awes-me.  I can’t wait until their new album Fist of God drops on March 17th, it should be epic. If you like this track and still can’t get enough, check out the insanely good remix by fellow T.O. boys Let’s Go to War. You gotta love the sounds coming out of this city these days!
