The XXI Winter Olympic Games come to a close tonight after two weeks of great action and historic Canadian moments.

Liveblog of the Vancouver 2010 Closing Ceremonies:

11:00 pm A fantastic Winter Olympic Games goes out with a whimper. Extremely bummed with the musical acts selected to play the closing ceremonies, but it’s about the athletes and not Chad Kroeger [thank God!]. I loved following every minute of these games and thanks to Xbox updates, iPhone apps, TV coverage and web streams I never had any trouble doing it. This was our best Olympic performance ever and the heroes created in these games will inspire generations to come. Goodnight!

10:55 pm We now have K-OS performing with a group of extras from Batman Forever. The dance moves are alright, but the music could be sooo much better. A bootleg of Bel Biv Devo’s Poison? Really?

10:47 pm Proven wrong unfortunately by Hedley. The awkward silence after “Vancouver are you having fun tonight?” sums up these performances. Greece had Tiesto spin at the opening ceremonies of the Athens 2004 Olympics, why not have MSTRKRFT do a short set? This is going over like a fart in church. EA Sports finally puts me in the game

I tried creating my Game Face when FIFA10 first launched last year, but after an hour of Firefox crashes I gave up. It seems like they’ve finally worked out most of the kinks since I was able to create this badass just in time to start my Real Madrid campaign. I’m pretty impressed by how well it turned out and I can’t wait to utilize it in this fall’s EA MMA.This is a pretty good start for now, but if EA doesn’t make me cover athlete by 2014 I’ll be hella-pissed.
