It wasn’t until my Gamerscore hovered around the 20K mark that I realized I was a full blown Gamerscore Whore. I tried creating my Game Face when FIFA10 first launched last year, but after an hour of Firefox crashes I gave up. It seems like they’ve finally worked out most of the kinks since I was able to create this badass just in time to start my Real Madrid campaign. I’m pretty impressed by how well it turned out and I can’t wait to utilize it in this fall’s EA MMA.This is a pretty good start for now, but if EA doesn’t make me cover athlete by 2014 I’ll be hella-pissed. EA Sports debuts the FIFA10 cover athletes

Earlier today EA Sports released the cover for the North American version of FIFA10, with Cuauhtémoc Blanco of Chicago Fire and Sacha Kljestan of Chivas USA representing Major League Soccer. Nowhere near as cool as having Toronto FC’s Maurice Edu on the cover, but I’d still rather have a couple of MLS stars on the cover than a couple of chaps from the English Premiership.
Taking the front and center role is Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard, who takes over the long-held spot from Ronaldinho. That automatically drops the big teeth meter from way too much to just enough. Lampard is also on the UK edition’s cover, but across the pond he plays second fiddle to Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney.
The soundtrack for the game has also been released and can be found after the break. Not found however, is Team Canada in the actual game itself. What the hell EA, what the hell. Read more »
