Clean sweep for Zombie Newlyweds

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , on November 1, 2010 by MarkEightThree

After a lame outing last year as Clark Kent and Lois Lane, Joanne and I decided to up our game and get a little more creative for Halloween this year. Seeing as our lives were dominated by the planning of our wedding this year, it was a natural fit to go with Zombie Newlyweds as our costume of choice. Two ‘Best Costume’ awards later, I’d say the choice was a pretty good one. Kat Von D and The Mad Hatter were also awesome costumes, but they were the hosts and couldn’t nominate themselves. BRAIINNNNNSSSS-!

A Great List of Essential Family Horror Films

BD Horror News – Mr. Disgusting’s Must-See Family Horror Films.

Bloody-Disgusting.com’s Mr. D has put together a great list of horror flicks that should please anyone who grew up believing you shouldn’t feed a mogwai after midnight or cross the streams.

I’d have trouble coming up with a better list myself, since he nailed so many of the essentials already. I would have included The Lost Boys, but I’m not totally sure that qualifies as a family film. Big props to Mr. D for including Monster House as well! Anyone who was smart enough to catch it in theatres or later on DVD can vouch for it’s awesomeness.

New Friday the 13th Poster looks deadly

Bloody-Disgusting got their hands on the new one-sheet poster for next year’s remade Friday the 13th. After decades of sequels [including a zany adventure in space] Jason Voorhees is getting back to the essentials, which mostly includes slaughtering promiscuous teens at Camp Crystal Lake. The remake is being handled by Platinum Dunes and Marcus Nispel, who were behind 2003′s awesome Texas Chainsaw Massacre reboot. I’m looking forward to Jason losing the baggage and getting back to his killer roots!
