Sneak as Snake for a lot less in MGS: Touch

Konami has announced that from August 13 through 15 the price of MGS: Touch is being dropped to $5.99, a five dollar savings from it’s normal high-budget price. I’ve spent some time playing the game and while it’s an absolute clunker at $7.99, it’s not too bad of a pill to swallow at it’s new sale price. Read more »

Metal Gear Solid Touch trailer looks…… solid?

I’ve gotta come clean. For years now I’ve pretended to hate on the Metal Gear franchise, but deep down inside I knew it was one of those PlayStation exclusives that I would love to get to know, but would hate even more to admit to wanting. It’s a fanboy’s life, that’s all I can say. Regardless, when Snake came to the Wii I wept a little and now that he’s coming to my favourite handheld, I may shed another single tear of joy.

SSBB: The Nintendo Wi-Fi Disconnection

In addition to the widespread ‘Disc Read Error’ problems plaguing Wii owners, online play is officially BUSTED in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It’s impossible to connect with random people and I’m having a bitch of a time connecting with friends alone. This seems to be a widespread problem, as many gaming forums across the net are ablaze with complaints from Nintendo-philes who were hoping to be taken to the promise land of online play.

Also, there’s an issue with the online menu as well for a lot of people. For some reason, the Options sub-menu is not appearing within the Nintendo WFC menu, leaving people without spectator mode, the option to submit user created content and the Smash Service, which is the download center for fresh daily content. I’m lucky enough to be in this exclusive club as well.

One of the rumored fixes is to delete your save data and restart everything, which is a little irritating considering I’ve already put over ten hours into this game. Hopefully Monday morning will bring official word from the Big N on how to correct these issues properly.

Update: After waiting a few days for Spectator mode to appear in Brawl’s online menu and not having any luck, I decided to go ahead and delete my data and start over. The good news is this method works, but the obvious bad news is I’ve lost all my progress. Seeing as how Nintendo is still keeping mum on Brawl’s online issues, this seems like the only way to go. If you’re going to go this route, keep in mind that you might want to back up any replays, stages or photos you’ve created to an SD card.
